CASCABULHO – Hunger gives you a headache Fome Dá Dor De Cabeça [Brazil] (2001)

Cascabulho is one of the most creative and impressive bands that were formed in the 1990s in Recife, Pernambuco, Northeast Brazil. They are an important part of a broader cultural scene – the mangue beat movement – a youth culture movement that arose in Recife during the last decade. Cascabulho is rhythm, joy and creative use of local and global influences, producing original Brazilian music of high quality. This is their first album and is dedicated to the memory of the performer, composer and revolutionary musician Jackson do Pandeiro.
