Purchase & Return Policies

At Los Andes we pride ourselves on providing a superior level of service and a wide portfolio of international brands.

However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can simply 'Contact Us' to organise a return and Los Andes: the Latin store will happily provide you with an exchange, refund or repair within the following guidelines.

 

PRICES

The prices are expressed in Australian dollars, additional taxes are included. Cost of transportation or taxes are not included. The shipment cost is calculated according to the total weight of the order.

ORDERS

Since Los Andes is an actual store located in West Melbourne, Australia, all orders will be filled by contacting us via our website info@losandes.com.au or 'Contact Us' with a product description.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

Los Andes: the latin store accepts all major credit cards.

LAYBY

Los Andes: the latin store offers a layby service upon request. The layby period is 6 weeks, with a 10% deposit required for items under $100, and a 20% deposit for items over $100. It is your responsibility to pay the layby off within the 6 week period. You may cancel the layby at any time, and recieve a refund, however the deposit will be kept. A layby will be cancelled if it is not fully paid within 14 days after the layby period has expired.

RETURNS POLICY

 

If you are not completely satisfied with your product(s), Los Andes will happily provide you with an exchange, refund or repair as follows. Please keep in mind, however, that most items are handmade and by nature are not "machine factory perfect" therefore colors and designs may vary.

If you have proof of purchase

If you are able to provide satisfactory proof of purchase, Los Andes will provide you with an exchange or refund if the item does not fall within any of the special exceptions below.

However, if you have simply changed your mind, Los Andes will be pleased to offer you a refund or exchange provided:

  •  the item is in re-saleable condition for example:
    • the original tags and labels are still attached;
    • the item is in its original packaging (if any); and
    • the item is unworn, unused and as sold; and
  • the item does not fall within any of the special exceptions below.

If you wish to return an item that you believe is faulty, it may be necessary for the item to be returned to the manufacturer for assessment to determine whether or not you are entitled to an exchange, refund or repair.

If you do not have proof of purchase

If you cannot provide satisfactory proof of purchase, Los Andes may, in its discretion, provide you with an exchange or Gift Card to the current value of the item provided:

  • the item is in resaleable condition; and
  • the item does not fall within any of the special exceptions below.

 

SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS

Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund on the following unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not doing what it is supposed to do, or where otherwise required by law.

Music & DVDs

Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund for change of mind on CDs & DVDs unless the seal is intact or the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not doing what it is supposed to do, or where otherwise required by law.

Other merchandise

Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund for change of mind on the following items unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not doing what it is supposed to do, or where otherwise required by law.

  • earrings for pierced ears
  • pillows
  • perishable food

 

Gift and Bridal Registry Returns

To return items purchased from our Gift & Bridal Registry an appointment must be made so that we can provide you with the information required to facilitate your return. To make an appointment please contact our store. All Gift & Bridal returns will be managed in line with this Returns Policy.

GENERAL

We will refund using your original payment method, or on Gift Card where appropriate at our discretion.

Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges, and return shipping charges are not refundable unless authorised by Los Andes.

Please report a problem by email (click on the 'Contact Us' link below) or info@losandes.com.au BEFORE RETURNING YOUR ORDER.

We can not take responsibility for items returned without prior knowledge.

 

This policy operates in addition to your statutory rights for returns of faulty goods in Australia.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA

The personal information that you communicate to us will not be transmitted or sold-on to third parties. Los Andes: the latin store stores keeps your shipping details on file for accounting purposes only.

OWNERSHIP AND RISKS

Whilst all care is given, ownership of the goods is transferred to the Buyer once the payment is executed and the product(s) are shipped. Therefore, once your order is shipped all subsequent risks will be your responsibility and Los Andes: the latin store does not accept any liability.

COMPLAINTS

We hate getting complaints - but we love to learn from them! So we take all complaints very seriously and seek to resolve problems quickly to the satisfaction of all parties concerned where possible.
